The MOL Chronicles #3

MOL Chronicles #3:

The story so far:

After the epic escape from the clutches of the evil dragon cult, the MOL party decided that they will not hide from those pricks. Patches resolved to execute a counter attack against the fools who destroyed the town where they became famous!

Heroes of the day: Front Left to Right: The minion is a new guy named "Sieg" (Human Rogue), El Chappo (Half-Orc Barbarian and Jair (Human Druid)
Backrow: Patches (Half-Orc Barbarian) & Jack Napier (Human Rogue)

After a few days spent gathering intel, our heroes received word that the dragons they were searching for can be located at some abandoned town. Being the heroic heroes that they are, they pursued this lead with vengeance in mind!

Upon reaching the abandoned town, our heroes had to fight off zombies and plant-like monsters (Yes we did fight off plants and zombies).  Jair, realizing that he was already level 3 and the plant monsters were a bunch of small fries, used his Shillelagh spell for the first time in forever and did a Darth Maul on the weaklings!

The feeling you get when you reach level 3 AC 11 and your enemies are less than 5 HP.

After cleaning up the monsters, our heroes came across a Druid who offered them a chance to join him in protecting the wilds.  With the promise of further expanding his street cred, Jack Napier agreed to join the Druid.

The MOL team finally reached the ruined structure where they were supposed to face the dragons. Inside, Sieg had the bright idea to check out a few rooms on his own. Bad move.

While exploring one particular room, a blast of dragon fire poured over Sieg and he dodged the blast through sheer luck! At the main room, a dragon suddenly landed to face the others. (Roll in FFVIII fight scene music).

Evil Dragon: Look at those puny heroes all bundled in a neat pile. [evil grin]
The dragon had the sense of humor to fire his breath weapon again. The powerful blast KO'd El Chappo and Jair while Sieg is still no where to be found, meaning that this is the time for Jack and Patches to shine!

(For those who do not know, Jack's in-game flaw is that he will not exert any effort to stabilize his comrades. For this scenario, the MOL was already two men down and another one missing but Jack will do nothing about it just for the lols hahaha!)

For the first part of this fight, Patches had the unfortunate task of stabilizing Jair and El Chappo while Jack kept the dragon busy with his assassin/ninja moves. It was during this time that Sieg joined the fight but could not do much against the monster.

Jair finally had a chance to stand up and used his bear form for some multi-attack goodness. Sieg tricked the dragon into thinking that he will betray the MOLs, and instead of attacking Jair and Jack, Sieg used his rogue skills to backstab the dragon, literally.

Sieg at the back, in his rogue saiyan form and taking a nap.

This pissed the dragon even more, and his next attack KO'd Sieg and El Chappo.

(FYI, El Chappo spent only a few seconds fighting the dragon, most of his time was spent unconscious)

The situation was fast becoming grim. The bloodied and weakened heroes were putting in massive damage but the dragon fights on.  This was where El Chappo finally snapped out of his pain-induced slumber. Everything was a blur to him, and in his clouded vision he could only see the humanoid forms of his companions fighting a huge foe that was about to fly away.

In true Leeroy Jenkins fashion, El Chappo leapt at the dragon and with his greataxe, connected an overhead chop to the monster's face. The dragon crashed to the floor, dead. (As stated earlier, El Chappo fought the dragon for only a few seconds).

Yeah baby leaping overhead chop just like this!!

The other heroes just stood there, breathing heavily, blood dripping from many wounds as they let the magnitude of the kill steal set in. They just killed their first dragon!

This is where we ended the session. Will make an update when I finish. :)
