First DND Report

We've been playing some Dungeons and Dragons RPG these past few weeks. Considering all the hardcore moments we encountered so far, I guess it would a good idea to make reports of our sessions. :)

From Left to Right: Patches the Half-Orc Barbarian, Jair the Human Druid, Jack Napier the Rogue, El Chappo the Half-Orc Barbarian, Thirteen the Half-Elf Rogue and Darroos Nigost the Halfling Ranger
The scenario was that our heroes, a Human Druid, two Half-Orc Barbarians, a Halfling Ranger and two Rogues (Half-Elf and Human) had a serious meeting at their crib/tavern/home base. They realized that after a string of misadventures and near-death experiences, it was finally time to organize themselves into a proper adventure party. First off was that they had to choose a leader. After a heated debate between the party members and the indifference of their emo Druid named “Jair”, they appointed the Half-Orc named “Patches” as their fearless leader.  Next up was they had to choose a group name. After hours of intense debate, the group chose the name “Mol”. The reason for this choice remains unknown.

After they got these important matters settled, the heroes accepted a job to rescue a dwarf from some gods forsaken part of Neverwinter.

On the way to the suspected quest location, our heroic heroes encountered a group of goblins and another group of orcs later at night.  The adventurers proved to be too much for these bandits.

A not so successful night ambush from these Orcs.

The next day, the heroes finally came to the quest location. It was a ruined castle with two watch towers. Jair changed into a bird to scout one of the towers while the Rogue named “Thirteen” scouted the other one. The druid returned with the information that there are goblins at the tower he scouted while Thirteen seemed to have wandered off.  After a few moments, the group hatched a not-so-clever plan. The plan was to throw the halfling named “D” to fight the two goblins while the human Rogue “Jack Napier” will climb the tower to support the halfling. While the rest will charge through the front door and make things happen.  They have no word yet on Thirteen so they just hoped that their companion was alright.

Upon execution, Patches the Half-Orc threw the halfling and with the latter’s awesome ninja/assassin's creed moves, he managed to latch on to the tower, Jack Napier attempted to scale the tower but fell to the ground midway, aching.

The other group charged in as planned and ran up the two towers, one group running to help Dorroos while the other group charged into the other tower.

At the back end of the ruins, Thirteen was out and about exploring the backrooms.

At the front, the two groups managed to take out the goblin archers manning the towers. Their strategy now is to link up with Thirteen, where ever he was.

At the back end of the ruins, Thirteen opened a door and came face to face with two Hobgoblins! Seeing his disadvantage, he ran through the halls, hopefully to reach his comrades. He managed to enter a room and close the door behind him, this new room turned out to be guarded by a Grick! Again, Thirteen made a run to the next room.

By this time, the other adventurers was just at the room next to Thirteen's. With total disregard to safety, Darroos jumped into Grick's room Legolas-style and found that one Hobgoblin was already inside the room with the Grick. The swift Halfling managed to hit the Hoblin with an arrow. The Grick retaliated and “attacked” Darroos. The other Mols came in to face these new foes. The Half-Orcs El Chappo and Patches swinging their axes and the Human Rogue “Jack Napier” slashing the foul Grick beast with his glowing magical sword. Seeing the dire situation of his companions, Jair called upon the powers of the forest and turned himself into a Bear to help.

The Grick attacking the halfling!

At the other room separated by a curtain was Thirteen, seeing a grape basket. Enticing as the grapes appeared to be, he chose to go back and help fight the Grick. The Grick was tough, and El Chappo decided to circle the monster from the back side of the room. Unfortunately, the next room he entered was the quarters of a goblin priest along with his henchmen.

Hmmm.....Grapes....

The battle was hard, with Patches, the Bear and Jack holding off the Monster, pulling out the unconscious Thirteen and letting him heal along with Darroos while El Chappo had to fight the Goblin Priest and his goons.

This is one tough Grick!

With a mighty slash from his axe, Patches managed to inflict a fatal blow to the foul beast. Pressing their advantage, they ran into the other room to find an unconscious El Chappo surrounded by enemies.   Quickly they charged through the humanoids to circle around their beaten comrade. After a few minutes of close quarter combat, the Mols managed to come out triumphant!

Victolllyyyy!!

After searching the area, Patches ripped a small tendril from the Grick, intending to use it as a necklace and in part to mock Darroos for the “attack” he suffered.

This is where we ended for the day. Will make an update as soon as we finish the scenario. :)
